How to start using Nest in your housing society

Getting a society online sounds big, but with Nest it is a few simple steps. You send your society details, the Nest team creates your admin account, and you add your flats and residents. You can start for free.

Steps

1. Register your society. Open the Register page and send your name, mobile number and society name. You can also message us on WhatsApp instead. Only these three details are needed; the rest are optional.
2. Receive your admin account. The Nest team contacts you and creates the society admin account for you. You do not have to set up anything technical.
3. Log in as the society admin. Open Nest in the browser of your phone or computer and log in. Nest works in 15 languages, so choose the language you are comfortable with.
4. Add your flats and residents. Add the flats of your society, then add the residents. Each resident gets a one-time code to join (see the guide on adding residents).
5. Start with one feature. You do not have to switch everything on at once. Many societies start with notices or maintenance bills and add visitors, amenities and parking later.

Tips

• Keep the list of flats and resident mobile numbers handy before you start; it makes adding residents quick.
• Tell residents in your society WhatsApp group that Nest is starting, so they know the one-time code message is genuine.
