Simple society accounts: income, expenses and reports
The treasurer should not need a separate spreadsheet to answer a simple question like "how much did we collect and spend this month?". Nest keeps bills, amenity income and expenses together, so the numbers are always in one place.
How it works
Income arrives automatically. Paid maintenance bills and paid amenity bookings are part of the society's income records, without double entry.
Record expenses. The admin records each expense with a title, amount and date, such as electricity, repairs or staff costs.
See the picture. Income and spending are shown side by side, so the committee sees how the society is doing.
Download reports. Amenity-wise income can be downloaded as a CSV file for any date range, for the committee or an accountant.
What your society gets
No double entry; bills and bookings flow into income
Expenses recorded with dates, so the history is clear
Reports that can be downloaded as CSV and opened in Excel
Only the society admin sees the accounts
Who uses it
Society admin and treasurer: Record expenses, check income and download reports.
Questions
Does Nest replace our accountant?
No. Nest keeps your society's records organised. An accountant can still prepare your formal accounts, and the CSV downloads help them.
Who can see the expenses?
Only the society admin. Residents see their own bills, not the society's accounts.
Can we download the data?
Yes. Amenity income can be downloaded as a CSV file for any date range.
