Features / SOS alerts

One tap to call for help inside your society

In an emergency, people do not have time to find numbers or type messages. In Nest, a person sends an SOS with a single tap, and a red banner appears for the guards, the society admin and the residents, showing who sent it.

How it works

  1. Tap SOS. A resident or staff member taps the SOS button on their phone.
  2. Everyone relevant is alerted. A red banner appears on the screens of security guards, residents and the society admin.
  3. See who needs help. The banner shows who sent the alert, so guards know where to go.
  4. Respond and close. The team responds, and the alert is cleared once the situation is handled.

What your society gets

  • No typing and no searching for numbers when every second counts
  • The same alert reaches guards, admin and residents together
  • You can see who sent the alert

Who uses it

  • Resident: Sends an SOS with one tap.
  • Security guard and staff: See the alert at once and respond; they can also raise an SOS.
  • Society admin: Is alerted too and can follow the response.

Questions

Does an SOS replace calling the police or ambulance?

No. Nest alerts your own society team and neighbours quickly. For a medical, fire or police emergency you should still call the official emergency numbers.

Who sees an SOS alert?

Security guards and staff, the society admin and the residents of that society. Other societies on Nest never see it.

Does the SOS work on a phone browser?

Yes. Nest runs in the browser of any phone, tablet or computer.
